My aunt, Candace Goldflies, started Skin, An Apothecary about 15 years ago. Her first store was in Vail Colorado. The store became such a hit that she eventually opened two other stores in Aspen and Avon. While people were vacationing they would purchase the line and want to be able to receive the products at home. So she started doing a mail order business. She eventually closed the Aspen and Vail stores. She concentrated on the mail order business and having other stores carry the line. After I graduated from college, my aunt hired me on to help with the business. I moved to Colorado and worked by her side. She was very smart and a great business person. I learned so much from her. Unfortunately she became very sick and passed away in 1999. My father (Candace's brother) and I decided to keep the business going. We have since closed the Avon store. We have many fine retailers that carry the line for us and this website.

The family misses her tremendously, but think and hope that she is very proud of all of us.
